Health Sciences Collaborative The East Metro Health Careers Council is a collaborative of Saint Paul Health Care employers with a common commitment to raising the awareness of high school students to careers in health care. The Collaborative brings industry perspective and special events to teachers and students. Additionally, the Collaborative provides speakers for classrooms, assistance with curriculum writing, and assists with the development of a certificate of competencies in Health Sciences. Students will be able to earn certificates after completing and learning the industry skills designed by teachers, college instructors, and industry practitioners. The Collaborative is chaired by Kay Baker, HealthEast’s Director of Community Relations, and was initiated and is supported by the Saint Paul Chamber of Commerce. Member organizations include: HealthEast, Gillette Children’s Specialty Hospital, Regions Hospital, HealthPartners, Institute for Medical Education, Indianhead Council Boy Scouts of America, Saint Paul Chamber of Commerce, Saint Paul Public Schools, HealthEast Long Term Care. |
