Saint Paul Connections is a stepping-stone program for high school students to post-secondary education and the world of work. Young people in area high schools are able to self select from a broad menu of community-based internships and high interest career courses. Offerings are held when school is not in session and cover major career constellations suitable for students interested in technical as well as four-year college programs.

Sixty community partners sponsor offerings making optimal use of the most desirable assets of the urban community. The program has a 12-year track record of excellence and is extremely popular with young people. In 2003, over 2000 students earned high school and college credit by completing Connections courses and internships.

Participation gives a positive choice for the use of free time and greatly assists students in making an informed decision about what to do after high school graduation.
